Esta frase que para muchos de nosotros es una obviedad, es realmente uno de los objetivos más complicados en las estrategias digitales. Hoy en día los usuarios buscan información en cualquier sitio y lugar y en el momento en que lo hacen miles de webs luchan por estar entre las elegidas. Pero la cosa no acaba ahí, lo difícil no es que te encuentren, lo difícil es que se queden y luego vuelvan ¿Cuál es el secreto? No lo hay, pero Google, a través de su ebook “The Adsense Guide to Audience Engagement”ofrece algunos consejos para lograr el tan ansiado engagement.

1. Ten una presencia de marca constante allá donde está tu audiencia.

Ser capaz de alejarte de tu competencia y ofrecer servicios en aquellos puntos donde está tu adiencia generará una buena impresión en los usuarios. No nos centremos en un sólo canal: “El 60% de los millenials esperan tener una buena experiencia con las marcas ya sea online, en la tienda o por teléfono” .

  • Define tu voz: piensa bien en cuál es tu estilo para tener una marca distinguible.
  • Sé consecuente: una vez que ya has definido tu voz, tu contenido debe ir acorde a ella. De esta forma los usuarios serán capaces de reconocerte, tu marca será familiar para ellos y sabrán qué esperar de ti cuando entren a tu web.
  • Ten en cuenta los intereses de los usuarios: definir tu estilo es importante pero es insuficiente. Los usuarios deben ver que lo que ofreces es relevante e interesante para ellos. ¿Cómo saberlo? usa Google Analytics, Google Consumer Surveys y ten en cuenta The Long-term Revenue Framework.

2. Ofrece un plan de acción para cada tipo de usuario.

Tener contenidos de calidad es la base, pero la forma de acceder e interactuar con ellos es aún más importante. La experiencia de usuario no es diseñar una buena página web, es diseñar rutas a los usuarios. 

  • Crea un Mapa de Momentos: identifica cuándo los usuarios se conectan y cuándo realmente te interesa que conecten con tu marca. Al examinar cuándo y cómo interactúan por tu web, serás capaz de anticiparte a sus necesidades y diseñar una web con una buena experiencia de usuario pues ofrecerás en el mejor momento lo que ellos necesitan.
  • Objetivos fáciles y rápidos de conseguir: Si quieres que los usuarios se suscriban a tu web o rellenen un formulario, éstos deben estar a la vista y además realizarse en pocos pasos.
  • Crea calls to action claros e interactivos.

3. Llega a la mente y al corazón de la audiencia.

Todo contenido que provoca emoción favorece las relaciones marca-usuario.

  • Crea contenido que evoque emociones: este tipo de contenido es más favorable de ser compartido, y mucho más si además son historias contextualizadas.
  • Diversifica tu enfoque en tu estrategia de contenidos:  no es igual el contenido estacional (interesante en determinados momentos del año), contenido trending (muy concreto en el tiempo), contenido perenne (interesante siempre) o contenido profundo (estudios o artículos muy trabajados). Cada uno necesita ser tratado de forma diferente.

4. Crea contenido fácil de consumir. Sé visual.

Conectar con tu audiencia es en realidad contar una historia, que los usuarios buscan, de forma única y creativa. Y aquí la palabra puede quedarse corta, hay que ser visual ya que este tipo de contenido tiene un 40% más de posibilidades de ser compartidos en social media.

  • Utiliza infografías, listas, imágenes, GIF o vídeos: así lograrás que los usuarios se enfoquen en tus mensajes clave de manera más clara y se fomentará la interacción. Las webs que incluyen vídeo consiguen un tiempo de visita extra de 2 minutos en comparación con aquellas web que no tienen.
  • Incluye imágenes en tus artículos: sobre todo si son artículos largos puedes incluir tablas o gráficos que permita digerir mejor el contenido.
  • Incorpora botones sociales: Así fomentarás que tu contenidos sean compartidos. No te quedes sólo en los botones de seguidores o compartidos de Facebook y Twitter, incorpora comentarios, ratings, testimonios, etc.

5. Sé auténtico.

La autenticidad es un elemento también a tener muy en cuenta, cerca del 80% considera que ofrecer contenido verdadero y original es el factor más importante para seguir o no a una marca. 

  • Menciona a tus fuentes: otorga el crédito a quien le pertenece. Quien sabe si te puede venir algo de su parte.
  • Genera links a tu contenido: Si generas buenos contenidos, tienes más posibilidades de conseguir que usuarios y web linken a tu contenido. Y sabemos lo importante que es eso para los buscadores…:)
